Homeland: Pennine Peninsula

Leader: Farinosa (Queen)
Heir(s): Cress

Overview and description:

The hardest Wildling clan to pin point. Believed to be a racially impure brand of Wildlings, and therefore the most carefree of the four clans. Their colours are the most diverse, which leads to the conclusion that the inclusion of Pony blood is within their genetics. However, this is hard to prove, though not often denied. They are free spirits, not confining themselves to single areas or forests, instead spreading themselves out in groups, or even living alone or away from Wildlings altogether. They go where the wind sends them, and enjoy varied aspects of nature.

Due to living close to ponies, hybridisation and cross-species relations can occur. Hybrid foals are welcome to join the clan at any time, with or without their Wildling parent present.

The main group of Philoden clan members travel with their leader, and set up small camps in order to rest and sleep. Those who chose not to remain free to do as they wish, though are subject to recall if it is ever needed. Only the leader of the clan have the ability to 'recall' clan members, by using a complex spell, which involves connecting with every member simultaneously. Even those who are born away from the tribe are able to feel the call, though often ignore it, as they don't know the purpose.

Philoden Wildlings are keen gardeners, and grow lots of plants that are suitable for an array of purposes, such as for teas, broths, and medicinal qualities. They also grow more expensive and sought after varieties, in order to barter with ponies when they do chance upon them. They share this in common with the Nerensis clan, minus the selling part. Because of their travelling lifestyle, Philoden clan members usually excel at speeding up plant growth with spells, and then prolonging the life of the cut plant afterwards.

Due to being the 'Flower' clan, they don't eat actual flowers out of professional courtesy.

Key traits:

They can have any colour of hoof, including gold, though tend to have an even split of light and dark hooves individuals. They are the only clan to achieve 'winged' tips to the top of their hips, usually the lead females having larger ones - often petal shaped. They can grow out their fetlocks, though most prefer not to. They are the only clan to be capable of growing 'rex' type fur (I.e. curly), but it is considered incredibly rare.

Their names are seemingly random. The closer they are to ponies, the more 'pony-like' their names become. Same for being born close to Nerensis - as their names then become Latin names for plants, and close to the northern tribes they become distinctly nordic. Some just have names their parents like at the time, so there's no real set pattern.

A friend linked me to this group for inspiration for my own classical unicorn. I think I'll make one, though given the time of month it'd probably be better if I wait for the next cycle.
